Hello from the Joneses! It's official...we are a #partyof4!
Austin Michael Jones was born on 8/21/18 at 2:31pm! His little cry was music to our ears! He was exactly 8 lbs and 20 inches long and HEALTHY! He had routine labs and a couple echocardiograms while in the hospital. All labs were normal and the echocardiogram showed what we expected. He has a couple very small holes in his heart that are expected to fully close within the next few months. Children's Hospital in Minneapolis Pediatric Cardiologists will follow up and we will see them again in 3 months to check on Austin's progress.
Max was pretty unsure of "baby" for the first couple visits and then began to show a little interest. Lots of explaining and understanding to do when you are only 22 months old! Older cousin Gavin helped facilitate some kisses!
We were able to be discharged on Friday afternoon and the real adventures began...finding our new routines! We have made significant progress over the last couple days. Austin is a power eater! When the boy is hungry, he is hungry! We are blessed he is eating very well and hitting all the milestones a newborn should!
