Status Quo and Summer Fun!

I'll start with Baby J #2 this time!  He's doing great (Mom too...although Brian is probably sick of me complaining about feeling like a flopping fish while sleeping-right side, left side, right side, left side)!

On July 12th, Brian and I met with the Down Syndrome Clinic at Children's Hospitals and Clinics - Minneapolis.  We didn't go in with a particular agenda, but more to hear of some common questions and resources that we could address with a prenatal diagnosis.  Our biggest "take aways" were common issues with feeding and educational services that are available starting from birth through our local school district.  We are very blessed to live in a supportive community where we are confident our little guy will have all the services he needs!

I've also been on weekly perinatal and OB doctors appointments.  Luckily, they have been able to coordinate them and I've been blessed with help from the Joneses (for those of you who don't know...Max LOVES going to Grammy and Call Papa's house)!  Surprise, surprise!

In a nutshell, Baby J #2 is behaving himself beautifully!  He has scored 8/8 on all his BPP's and has passed all his NST's.  My body has also been cooperating with normal blood pressures, very little swelling and normal AFI (amniotic fluid) levels.  HUGE blessing!  They only do size measurements monthly and today was the day!  He measured in the 50th percentile weighing in at about 6lbs, 5oz.  Of course they reminded me there is a standard deviation for those numbers!  Yes, yes, I know!  Now, 3 more weeks of status quo and we will all be ready for August 21st!

Max continues to have a great summer!  Mid-July we went to Grand View Lodge with the Joneses!  So many great memories and Max and Gavin are getting to be pretty good buds!  Heartfelt thank you to Lynn and Wanda for making this trip happen!

Since then, we've chose to slow the adventures down a little in preparation for Baby J #2...so we have ventured to the park, the zoo, and the library!  All wonderful times and memories!  The summer of 2018 has not let us down!

We hope this finds you and your families doing well!
Until next time...

Love,
Brian, Tara, Max and Baby J #2
